Similar process used to change the Applications icon. I used the Get Info process to customize the icons in the app launchers before dragging them to the dock. These are the only three processes that don't hold their icons, so far: Opera, Eclipse and Applications. New Finder windows display the default icon, until I add/remove something and cause the custom icon to replace it, as in the other window(s). That's just for that one instance of the process. The Dock and Finder directory display are having trouble with 3 apps (out of around 25) that use these custom icons.ġ) The custom dock icons for Opera and Eclipse revert to their default when the app is run, until the dock is restarted or the system is rebooted.Ģ) Similarly, the Applications icon in Finder starts each day with the default icon, not the custom one, until I add or remove something from the Applications directory, at which time the custom icon pops into place. I have set custom icons for several apps, and for the System folders, as well (Applications, etc.) ALL of the icons in my Dock are customized using the standard methods (Get Info, copy, paste, yadda yadda) ![]()
